Rabbi Moses Fisher
Our First Rabbi
During its 120 year history, Agudas Achim has touched the lives of thousands upon thousands of individuals. Hebrew School, Bar and Bat Mitvahs, Confirmations and Weddings of countless individuals are an integral part of the 12 decades of our Synagogue’s existence. Hundreds upon hundreds of individuals spent many hours of their lives working tirelessly for the welfare of the Congregation. Socials, educational programs and cultural events as well as religious services are a significant part of Agudas Achim North Shore Congregation's history.
As with many congregations which have gone through a period of decline, many of the precious records of our Congregation have been lost or vandalized. In this, our history section, we will present material that we have in our possession. We need your help! If you recognize any names or events, if you have in your possession any memorabilia that can aid in enhancing our historical record we urge you to contact the Synagogue.

The history of our Congregation is very much the history of Chicago Jewry. We invite you to read it and hopefully become a super sleuth on our behalf, adding what material you can to this rich and important legacy – the History of Agudas Achim North Shore Congregation.
